My Story

I'm Sydney, I laugh a lot, and yes, I was actually named after the city in Australia. I give purpose to my life through hard work, learning new things, and making meaningful connections with as many people as I can. Welcome to my ZeeMee!

Fairfax City School Board Rep

I serve as the student representative to the Fairfax City school board. I write a monthly report on what's new in the Fairfax High School community, and report it to the board. It's been an incredible opportunity to serve in a professional environment, and to network with some very inspiring adults.

DECA

DECA is a co-curricular organization where students test and cultivate their marketing skills with real-world situations. I've competed in DECA since 10th grade, and it's been my passion ever since. DECA has empowered me throughout high school, and has led me to pursuing a career in business.

ZeeMee

For my 12th grade DECA project, my partners and I worked with the ZeeMee team. We created an innovative marketing campaign to increase ZeeMee's presence in our school community and beyond. "You three are the marketing leads of ZeeMee." -Juan Jaysingh, CEO and founder of ZeeMee

Varsity Cheerleading

My freshman year I made the varsity team, and by the end of the season, I had earned a state championship ring with my team. What an incredible experience Fairfax Cheer has been. Not only did I earn titles with my team, but I found a family that I'll cherish forever.

Lacrosse

From freshman to senior year of high school, I played lacrosse for my school's team. My sophomore year I was named JV captain, and by my junior year I was on the varsity team. Lacrosse is such an exciting, unique sport, and I love being involved in the action.

Community service/involvement

Throughout my 4 years at FHS, I've developed a strong appreciation for my school and community. From school spirit days to community service, I've devoted myself to participating in everything I can, and giving my help wherever needed.

Adventures

I've been lucky enough throughout my life to embark on some awesome adventures that I'll never forget. I hold people, places, and experiences very close to my heart.

Family

My story wouldn't be complete without the people I love. Between my 2 houses, 4 parents, and 3 siblings, my family is one of a kind.

Amateur artist

I love to make things with my hands; I wouldn't consider art a full-time job, but now and then it's a wonderful creative outlet. I love slaving over a project until I'm absolutely satisfied. Art both challenges and satiates my perfectionism and creativity.

Disney World

Ever since I was little, Disney has inspired me to embrace my curiosity and to never stop dreaming. I credit Disney with my forward thinking and passion for innovating. As I pursue a career in business, I look up to Disney as the most brilliant company in existence.
