Sierra Hobbs

I'm Sierra, I'm a Pensacola local and a Marine Bio major with minors in Chemistry and Environmental Science. I dive, do research, and anything else that can keep me outside. I would love to mentor you in the transition into college, it's a big step for everyone so you're not alone :-)

E/INTJ - Meyers Briggs Type My Extrovert/Introvert levels are constantly fluctuating, this helps me be understanding both types of people. I naturally gravitate towards leadership positions and am a firm believer in speaking up for what you believe in and trying anything at least once.

The first class you'll take in this Honors Program is Honors Core 1, I was elected as a representative for the course. This allowed me to be a connection between my incoming honors class and Honors Council. Besides this class, I've also taken Core 2 and will take the honors seminar Politics of Food.

I have been doing research since my junior year in highschool, mostly on water quality but it spans many interests. I was in the SEA-PHAGES Program and am currently work in a Biochemistry lab and am doing a SURP. I am open to answer any questions you may have on getting into undergraduate research!

I recently got certified (and would love new people to dive with) but I have been free diving forever! Eventually, I hope to dive and do research on coral around the world!

Twin Peaks, Bones, Supernatural, Community, Fringe, Sense8, OITNB...the list goes on. If you can talk to me about something we've both watched we will basically become best friends immediately. If you ever need a pal to come over with popcorn and cookie dough and just binge, I'm your girl.

I did musical theatre my whole life until college, I don't have time to audition for anything anymore so I get my fix from just jamming out to showtunes. I've gone to plenty of Florida Districts/State Thespian Festivals in my time that if you were there....I probably saw you at some point.
