Lacrosse

I joined my lacrosse team in middle school. My town created a team, and we were very small. This allowed us to become very close. Although we were bad, we worked hard. Over time, the team grew in size, and we increased our abilities. Our performance did not show our hard work, but we enjoyed it.

Mentoring

I took on the role of mentoring elementary school kids after school. It was a very fun way to gain community service hours, as well as prepare for my future in early education. One on one, kids really open up and try to connect. Their way of showing their admiration to me was very rewarding.

Babysitting

I have babysat for as long as I can remember. Daily, I babysit one autistic loving boy and one very bright young girl. We have spent almost everyday together the past three years, and I am very grateful for their caring family. It was special to me that I was able to form a connection with them

Pilgrim Fellowship

This is a community service group I am in! We, as high schoolers, help out the community as much as we can. Our attempts to improve society are small, but very meaningful. Examples of service we have done are leaf raking, crop walks, cookie walks, donations, serving veterans, etc. Over 200 hours!

Group representative

In my town, I participate in a spiritual group. Over the past four years, I have gained incredible strength and hope. My second year, I became the group representative. This role was very hard work, but very rewarding. It has taught me a incredible amount of leadership skills, and much more.

Teacher's assistant

A women that I know is a second grade teacher. I have helped her correct papers, set up lessons, and decorate for her! I have really enjoyed it. It has prepared me for my future with kids. It is a very fun away to earn community service, as well as understand the minds of young kids.

Wrestling, cheerleading, and cross country

I was captain of my middle school wrestling team! It was a very different sport, that most girls don't participate in, but it is something I love! My stepdad is an all American wrestler, as well as a high school coach. He has influenced and encouraged all of us kids to wrestle.

Chorus

I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I participated in United Girls choir, an advanced choir in New haven, CT. I have also participated in my middle school select choir in which won first place at states, as well as my concert choir group at my high school!
