My name is Anana Upton, and I attend Whitney M. Young Magnet High School! I am interested in the medical field, specifically pediatric surgery. I also love music, performance, visual art, writing, and community service - among others!
Student Council Executive Board
Student Council Executive Board is like a family - we all take pride in helping our school community! Our state conventions are my favorite though!
Science has always interested me, from the first time I dissected a cow's eyeball, to my dissections in Anatomy and Physiology! My little brother is my inspiration for my interest in the medical field!
Music and Performance
Music and performance has been a huge part of my life ever since I was young. With artists as parents, art has been an integral part of my development.
Trip to Japan!
I have wanted to go to Japan since I began teaching myself Japanese at age 8, and after all that hard work, I was given the opportunity to stay with a Japanese family and explore the country!
Since I began practicing Nichiren Buddhism through the Soka Gakkai International, my life has transformed and positivity has become my lifestyle!
National Honor Society
I was inducted into the National Honor Society after a year on National Junior Honor Society! This was awarded because of my demonstration of leadership, character, and community service!
Pom Pon Squad
The Pom Pon squad was yet another family I was proud to be a part of! City and state champion high-intensity stunt and hip-hop dance team with daily practices!
