My Story

Do you know what my nickname is here in Florida? - Texas. I wear cowboy boots in the summer, I consider y'all an acceptable word, and Tex-Mex is the one type of food I could eat for the rest of my life. Family is incredibly important to me, and so is the Lord. - I plan on taking that wherever I go.

Classical Guitar

I love music; particularly when I'm the one generating it. Guitar is the first instrument I learned to play, and the classical guitar is an art in which I am still an apprentice. However, that is far from a discouragement. I love to learn new skills, build my chord library, and create original work.

Christianity

"Now Faith is being SURE of what he hope for, and CERTAIN of what we do not see." ~Hebrews 11:1 My relationship with Jesus Christ started as a child, and continues to grow deeper. I love to learn bible verses and attend church services. He is my strength and whom I wish to place my foundations upon.

Indoor Volleyball

Volleyball is a time-consuming sport. That being said, I loved every minute of it. Team sports taught me so many life lessons about myself and how to deal with others that I couldn't imagine what I'd do without it. Not to mention it's taught me to eat better, exercise, and make healthy food choices.

Beach Volleyball

As an extension to Indoor Volleyball, I decided to add Beach Volleyball to my routine in order to stay fit during the summer. What I didn't realize was that I would come to love playing beach volleyball more than indoor volleyball. I learned so much about self-motivation and performing under stress.

Literature

Books! Plays! Poetry! - They truly are the food of the mind. I am a complete bookworm - I have had my books taken as a form of punishment once. Everything from the Magic Tree House Series to Shakespeare has been in my hands. The places I go and the people I meet in stories absolutely captivate me.

Fiddle

Instrument #2 - The Fiddle was something I never expected to play. I started learning the violin, but my heart wasn't in it. When I saw my (future) fiddle teacher play one day, there were fireworks in my eyes. I primarily play Irish tunes now, but my love for this instrument knows no (genre) bounds.
