Kevin Nguyen

Hey! I'm Kevin. I was born in Richmond, Virginia and love the thrill that comes with experiencing new things and places. When I am not studying, doing community service, or at my church, you can find me hanging out with friends, playing sports, or with my family! Welcome to my ZeeMee!

VEYM has been such a large influence in my life, and I couldn't imagine myself without it. It has allowed me to create friendships with the most inspirational people and given me the opportunity to volunteer in so many events, such as Backpacks of Love. VEYM has truly become my second family.

BPOL is a service organization that is committed to feeding school-age boys and girls throughout Virginia. I was graciously given the opportunity to help package a weeks worth of food alongside my VEYM family. It was a lot of fun, and I hope to continue to work with them for years to come!

Recently, I helped lead a drive to provide the homeless with socks and blankets during the winter. We collected over 200 donations in our church and hand-crafted nearly 25 blankets! Helping the needy has always been a large part of my life, and hopefully I can continue to do so in the future.

I co-founded the Don Bosco Lion Dance Team along with my close friend. After performing at our church for Lunar New Year, we began to receive requests for future requests. We have since performed at numerous cultural shows and event such as Vietnamese New Years and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

I rather like to think of myself as a daring and adventurous person. One of my favorite activities is hiking. The experience of venturing off into nature and pushing myself to the limit is unmatched. I especially love the view when I finally reach the top; I feel like I'm the king of world!

I've been involved in sports since I was a kid. I hated staying inside and always wanted to play outside. I loved the challenge of improving myself each and every day. I never miss a day of physical activity. Whether it be going to the gym, playing football or even swimming, I'm always ready to go!

I just recently became involved in photography, but I feel as if I've been taking pictures my whole life! I love capturing the most precious sights in the world; it brings back the feeling I had at that exact time. A goal of mine is to have one of my photos featured in Complex magazine.
