My Story
I am a diehard Tulanian. I transferred to Tulane halfway through my freshman year, earned an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from Tulane, and now I work for Tulane spreading the word about how awesome Tulane and New Orleans are.
Improv
I work with an organization called Funny Bones Improv and we put on improv comedy shows for pediatric patients and their families. It's my favorite activity because it combines my two favorite things: service and comedy.
Festing
In Louisiana, there are more festivals than there are days of the year. Whether I am enjoying music at Jazz Fest, food at French Quarter Fest, a classic New Orleans Po-Boy at Po-Boy fest or just being silly with my friends over any and all holidays, I love a good celebration.
Travel
I didn't travel much as a kid, so when I got to Tulane I jumped at the opportunity to quench my wanderlust. I went abroad to Granada. Spain for a semester and traveled to over 7 countries, In this job, I have also traveled all across the U.S. This Christmas I will be going to South Africa!
Family
Family time is huge in the deRosas household. I am the oldest of four girls (five if you count the dog) and when we are together we are either having the most fun or driving each other crazy. Living far away from my family makes me appreciate the time spent with them that much more!
Game of Thrones
My Game of Thrones obsession started with binge watching five seasons in 2.5 weeks. I don't care if it makes me a nerd, I am a proud GoT enthusiast. I read, watch and listen to any and all theories and I have even been featured on my friends' podcast to discuss GoT. I am also diehard House Stark.
