My Story

Family. School. Act. Run. Four of my favorite words. I was born in the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Now, I live in rural Pennsylvania. I learned that you can adjust to anything as long as you have family. I learned to love the wooded mountains. But now I'm looking for my next adventure in life.

Cross-Country

This activity brings a group of runners together to compete in 5k races with other local schools. My role was team Captain by my senior year. I learned the importance of intrinsic values and self care throughout my years in Cross-Country.

Speech and Debate

This activity transforms students into professional public speakers and leaders. It taught me the importance of being politically and socially aware of the world around me. I held the position of co-captain of the team during both my junior and senior year as well as competed on a national level.

Drama Club

By being part of this club, I got the opportunity to perform high school theatrical productions for my family, school and community every year during the fall, winter and spring seasons. I learned that there is no such thing as small roles, only small actors.

Towanda Chorus

I have been involved in choral singing since the third grade and continue as I am part of my high school senior choir. I hold the role of a choir officer for the past two years. I learned the importance of self love as well as unity in music through chorus.

Track and Field

In Track in Field, I got to compete in both long and short distance events. In my years of Track and Field, I learned the importance of patience, and time management.

National Honors Society

After being inducted in the National Honors Society, one finds itself with the responsibility to lead through achievement through the Arts, Academics and Athletics departments in the school. After my first year in the society I was elected President-elect and now hold the position of President.

One Act Play

In One Act Play, our true acting skills are put to the test as we practice and compete not only in a regional level, but at a state level among the best all-student-ran plays in the state of Pennsylvania. In the most recent play, I received the All State Cast Award for my supporting role.

Art

No words can describe the joy I feel when I look at a finished painting. The concept of bringing an idea from one's mind to life, gives me life. I have been making things with my hands for as long as I can remember. In high school, I made everything from wall murals to window paintings.

Medical Careers Club

In Medical Careers club, students who are exploring different areas of studies can join the club in order to find out if a career in the medicine is right for them. Throughout my years in the club, I signed up to help with many Red Cross Blood Drives and learned the importance of community service.

French Club

The French club is about learning not only the French language, but the French Culture. In this club, students receive opportunities to share the French culture among other students and get the chance to meet real natives of France. Being in this club taught me the importance of trying new things.

Bradford/Sullivan County Outstanding Young Woman Program

Throughout the journey of being a finalist for the Outstanding Young Woman Program, I got the chance to partake in various activities around my community as well as making friends from all over my county. On the night of the program, I not only took 2nd Runner Up but unforgettable memories.
