My Story
Hey guys! I'm an intersectional feminist working to fight systemic oppression! Proud member of the D(M)V. I love swimming, writing, talking to strangers in line at Chick-fil-a, and all things adventure! My favorite organ is the brain and my favorite snack is potato chips dipped in barbecue sauce.
Competitive Swimming
I swim on three swim teams over the course of the year. My favorite team would have to be Holton's (#HASwim)! We have most spirit, the most fun, and we were the most dedicated to each other. We are a 50 person match made in heaven.
Travel
Traveling is one of my favorite past times! I love to go to new places and learn about the culture in a real context. I went to India this summer! It was an incredibly fulfilling and my most different travel experience so far because India has yet to be dramatically influenced by Western culture.
Social Justice
Social justice has always been important to me. As a result, I am working to end systemic oppression and bring social issues to light. I figured the best way to do this is start a blog! I can't wait to upload my first blog post and I hope you get a chance to read it. Stay tuned!
College Experience
During my summers, I have taken a few college classes. The summer before sophomore year, I took Chinese at Howard Community College, for credit and got an A. This past summer, in July, I went to Carleton College. There, I took a Global Issues class and a Spanish Immersion class. I learned so much!
