My Story
My name is Cameron Rompal, I'm 17 years old and live in Camarillo, California. I love everything about the outdoors and wildlife. I love being involved in different activities and experiencing things outside of my comfort zone, such as being a Ventura Co. Fire Cadet and Physical Therapist Assistant.
Student Leadership
I am lucky enough to be a part of an awesome program. I was selected by my peers to be the Spirit-Wear and Rally Director the last two years and I enjoy how it challenges me. Being a part of ASB has made my high school experience amazing.
Ventura County Fire Cadet
About a year ago, I was honored to be selected as a Fire Cadet for the Ventura Co. Fire Dept. My training allows me to work as a firefighter, which includes responding to calls alongside the fire crew. I get to be involved in all fire house activities, including being responsible for cooking meals.
Football
I've played football most my life, and loved every minute of it. Most of my favorite childhood memories involve football. Unfortunately due to injuries, I had to stop playing and as you can see below, I decided to switch to water polo because it is easier on my body.
Varsity Water Polo
I play varsity water polo and my favorite position is the "Set" position. After my football injuries, I decided to play water polo and I've loved every minute of it. It appeases my competitive side and since it's safer than football, my mother likes it too.
Fitness
Personal fitness and everything that has to do with it is one of my passions. Due to my constant involvement in sports as I grew up, it only seemed natural. I work out on a nearly daily basis and it's how I center myself. I love every aspect of fitness and staying healthy.
Fishing
As a child growing up, fishing was the way to get away for the weekend. I love being up in the mountains and breathing the crisp clean air. Wether its lake fishing or deep sea fishing, I really enjoy the challenges. I guess that's why I'm the president and founder of the Camarillo Angler's Club.
