My Story

I was born in Nicaragua, a small but beautiful country. I was born in a family of 5, Mom, Dad and two younger sisters. I believe change starts with one, that's why helping my community is one of my favorite things to do. I consider myself very extroverted, I love to meet new people! Welcome!

Operation Smile

We believe every child deserves exceptional surgical care. As long as there are children in the world who need our help, we'll do whatever it takes to give them the quality care they deserve. I've been a volunteer since 9th grade and I'm currently the Vice President.

Mu Alpha Theta

President of the Mu Alpha Theta Chapter at my school. Being part of the MNHS has helped me develop strong scholarship in the subject by providing free tutoring at our school. Besides tutoring, we organized a yearly toy drive "Sonrisas para Momotombo"

Dance

I have danced since I was 3 years old and I still love it! I've participated in many shows in the National Theater and my school. I believe dancing is so much more than just an exercise or a hobby. Dancing has helped me express myself and overcome my fears.

National Honor Society

Current President of the National Honor Society.

ND Summer Scholars 2017

Participated in Notre Dame Summer Scholars 2017, a two-week rigorous program on different tracks. My chosen track was Psychology and the Self. Received one college credit after completion of the program.

HACIA Democracy and DALE Nicaragua

HACIA Democracy and DALE Nicaragua are a simulation of the OAS. I had the opportunity to attend HACIA and DALE twice as a delegate. This year, I'm part of the DALE staff. While debating, I've learned how to express my opinion in a diplomatic manner and to be more open to other people's opinion .

Foodies @Nica

Foodies @ Nica became a huge part of my life a year ago. I've always been a foodie and have always loved to eat well. I wanted to share my passion with people across Nicaragua, and I ended up having followers from all over the world.

AASCA Leadership 2015 Panama

On my Sophomore year, I got elected by my school to attend the AASCA leadership conference in Panama. This conference gathers young leaders from all over Central America. I learned: public speaking skills, critical thinking, and most importantly, what a true leader is.

Volunteer Work

I love to help people however I can. I believe helping others is a duty all human beings have. It's in our nature to need others, therefore, we should be there for everyone that needs us. I strongly believe that these activities are what make my who I am and complete me as a person.

Student Government

During 9th grade, I was elected to be the STUCO's treasurer by the student body. This experience made me realize that leadership will be something very important in my life and that my ideas can make an impact in my community. I ran for school president last year.

PROSINSA Internship

During the 2016 Summer, I worked for a month with PROSINSA, one of the biggest bread producing companies in Nicaragua. I was in charge of filling out the forms in order to get the HACCP Certification.
