Abby Shutzberg

Hi, I'm Abby! I was born on May 27th, 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia, but I moved to Memphis, Tennessee when I was ten years old. I live with my mom, dad, sisters, and dog Mollie. Below are just a few of my activities and passions. Welcome to my ZEEMEE!

BBYO is the Jewish youth organization that I have been very involved in during high school. I have attended summer programs and served as my home chapter's scrapbooker as well as the programming, membership, judaism, and social service vice presidents. I have formed so many new connections as well.

I have been attending YMCA Camp Thunderbird for 10 summers. I have participated as a camper, a counselor-in-training, and a full counselor. Giving back to the place that has given so much to me is incredibly rewarding. I love watching my campers have the same camp experience that I was able to have!

Traveling is my passion. Any opportunity I have to explore a new city is a chance I take. I really enjoy taking trips with family or friends. I especially love to eat at as many different places as possible in each city. I am always active and participating in new activities that each city offers.

I work at my camp's pool by lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons for campers of ages 6-15. I love watching them from the stands and working with them on different swimming skills. The best part is seeing their bright smiles when they advance a level in swim lessons!

I moved to Memphis when I was in fifth grade. And with the move came a new school. I ended up at an all girls middle and high school, and I could not have imagined myself anywhere else for the past eight years. Our community is so close and full of traditions!

Taking pictures is one of my greatest passions! I love sharing my photography with my friends and community!

Living to eat or eating to live??? Who knows!!!
